Sibshops are fun, upbeat workshops for kids ages 8+ who have siblings with any kind of special need. Open to anyone in the Sparwood area (not just Frank J students), these session gives siblings a place to connect, share, and have fun together.

About the Event
Sparwood Sibshops
Sibshops are now being offered in Sparwood. Sibshops are fun, supportive workshops for kids aged roughly 8 and up who have siblings with any type of special need. “Special needs” can include learning differences, autism, ADHD, medical or chronic conditions, physical disabilities, mental health challenges, addiction-related struggles, or anything else that impacts a sibling’s daily life. If a child feels their sibling’s needs affect them, Sibshops is for them.
How Attendance Works
Frank J. Mitchell students: Students will be pulled from class at 1:00 PM and brought to the Strong Start room.
Rocky Mountain Elementary (Elkford): Students will be pulled from class and bussed to Sparwood with their school. They will be signed in and join the session upon arrival.
Students not attending these schools: Any child in the Sparwood/Elk Valley area, including homeschool, online, or independent students, is welcome. Families can sign in at the Frank J…
